The Yellow and Black Group Piss Pool was a big hit at the recent Folsom Street Fair.
The Pool was occupied by from 2 to 10 piss afficionados from shortly after the fair opened at 11 am to when we called a halt to all pissing and playing at 5:30 pm.
To be honest, the weather was a little too cold for my personal preference, but maybe that’s just me. [Unfortunately, the pool had to be on the shady side of Dore, to leave the East side clear as a fire lane. ]
Dozens of guys spent time in the pool.
Hundreds contributed to the fun (or simply avoided the lines at the Honey Buckets).
Thousands watched.
About 20 women (and trans men) asked to use disposable standing urination devices to allow them to share the experience.
My estimate is that 60 gallons of human urine were collected,
and safely consigned to the Honey Buckets at the end of the day.
Several great guys helped out in various ways, during setup and throughout the day. However, not nearly enough folks stuck around to help us drain the pool at the end of the day. I really had pushed hard for you to volunteer to help with that. It’s not pleasant work, but it has to be done, and leaving it up to just two or three of us makes it hard for me to have faith that we can continue to operate the pool in the future. If you COULD have helped and DIDN’T, please feel bad about that.
Other that that, the pool was a huge success. I lost count of how many folks thanked me for my role in making it happen. We opened folks’ eyes to a fun, free, and relatively safe kind of kink. We helped some folks overcome their pee-shyness and shame. We created a chance for folks to live their fantasy. We generated a ton of hot images and amazing video.
Speaking of which…. I am now compiling the pictures and videos that I took, together with those taken by others and shared with me. A page of that content will be linked from here within a week or so. See below for details about sharing your content.
And to everyone who…
Asked in advance about the location of the pool,
Learned about needing to visit us early in the day,
And shared that info with their friends,
Helped out with set-up, oversight, or clean-up,
Took the trouble to find the pool, in the insane crush of the Fair,
Went to the effort of hydrating, just for us, and holding it in until they got to us,
Had the patience and commitment to overcome their usual “pee-shyness”,
Found creative ways to share their piss with the pigs in the pool,
Listened to and complied with piss-pigs’ specific aiming requests;
and/or
Had the balls to get into the pool themselves,
Had the stamina to stay in the pool, even after it moved into the shadow and the wind picked up a bit;
and/or
Participated from the side of the pool, poilitely and in compliance with Fair rules,
Took pictures or video, respectfully and with positive intent,
Applauded exceptional performances, and were generally supportive of us kinksters,
Learned a little something from their time around the Pool,
at the Folsom Street Fair,
and in San Francisco;
and/or
Shared their pictures and videos with me, to share with the rest of you;
and/or
Contributed financially, either with cash or via Venmo (details below);

How You Can Help
If you took photos or video of the action in and around the Piss Pool, and you would like to see them on this website, please share them with me. If you have videos that are too large for email, upload them via DropBox here. If your pix are on the Internet somewhere, send me a link to them. Let me know if you want photo credit.
If you post your pictures or video to social media (censorship permitting), please do send me whatever I need to access them (e.g. an invite to your Signal, Telegram or Heylo group).
If you have found pictures or descriptions of the pool at Folsom on the Internet, please send me a link to them. (This would include both positive and negative remarks, and would especially include social media posts about this OR previous pools.)
If you see pictures of yourself on this website that you do NOT want posted here, let me know and I will do my best to remove them. Be sure to specify the event or video name, and the time coding when you appear, as well as a very specific description of your appearance in the clip. You might even want to include a picture of yourself, dressed roughly as you are in the clip. (And next time, ask us to lend you a spandex hood so you can freak freely without fear. Cause there were LOTS of folks taking pictures, not just me!)

The Rules of the Pool
Anyone can climb in, dressed any way they want.
Climbing in = consent to be pissed on.
Photo-shy? Loaner hoods are available.
Pee-shy? Take your time; piss pigs are very patient.
Not used to standing up? Ask for a disposable “female urination device”.
Please limit your time in the pool to one hour at a stretch.
Keep the piss in the pool and off the street.
We discourage body contact during piss play (i.e. no “sex”, please).
No shit.
Have fun!
Climbing in or pissing is free, of course!
Folks taking pictures or video are encouraged to donate, to offset our costs.

The History of the Piss Pool
The notorious Piss Pool makes regular appearances at both of San Francisco’s kinky street Fairs, “Up Your Alley” (on the last Sunday in July) and “The Folsom Street Fair” (on the last Sunday of September).
For many years, it was hosted by the Rubber Men of San Francisco, and after that group closed down, it was taken up by the the Yellow and Black Group. For a few years, it was a joint project of the Yellow and Black Group and Arizona’s “House of Black Dragon”.
Although the fairs themselves — and the use of the piss pool specifically — were cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to health emergencies, we came splashing back in 2022, and had a great time at the 2023 “Up Your Alley”. Then in 2024, for the first time, the piss pool was made a part of the adults-only Leather Alley area at the SF Pride Celebration!
In 2025 we had a great (if a bit chilly) time at the Up Your Alley Fair, and an incredibly good showing at the Folsom Street Fair.
In 2026 at Up Your Alley, we shut down around 4 pm (due to the wind, the cold, and fact that the pool started to collapse). Unfortunately, we cleaned up after ourselves so thoroughly that some folks were confused and distressed by our absence. Our apologies. But we did warn you to visit us early!
We look forward to continuing the tradition just as long as we have the community’s support for it. The folks of FLUID (who host watersports parties in SF and the East Bay) have been major supporters and volunteers.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed (financially or fluidly) over the years, and a special thanks to the folks who have joined us in the pool! We hope you had as much fun as we did!
Tips for enjoying the Piss Pool:
- If you plan to contribute to the pool:
- Hydrate!
- Start drinking even before you arrive at the fair.
- Bring a water bottle, and keep refilling it!
- Make sure you know where the pool is located.
- Refer to the map above. Don’t be caught short at the other end of the Fair!
- Pass by the porta-potties! To heck with the honeybuckets! Use the pool!
- Women are always welcome to use the pool. Disposable standing urinary devices are available.
- Or… step carefully onto the yoga bricks, straddle a piss pig, and keep your shoes dry!
- Visit us early, and return often.
- We frequently need to shut down early, for various reasons. Don’t miss out!
- Hydrate!
- If you plan to climb into the pool:
- You can wear as little or as much as you like.
- The clothes-check booth is due south of us, past the Powerhouse outdoor bar;
- You may want to check some items in advance.
- A small tub will be available to let you rinse off your boots, shoes, or feet before entering the pool.
- Help us keep the piss a nice, clean yellow!
- And no sharp heals, please!
- Expect to be photographed. I can lend you a hood or mask if you like.
- You can wear as little or as much as you like.

Folsom 2018
At the 2018 Folsom Street Fair, it was a beautiful sunny day, but it was pouring down wet on 12th Street. But I am pleased to report that our cleanup was complete: over 5 gallons of piss safely deposited in the portapotties, no piss on the street, on the sidewalk, or on the lovely tapestries of the booth next to ours, and no complaints from fair management.
I am also pleased to report that at least 20 persons, of various genders and orientations, joined the fun by climbing into our piss pool . Over 200 people used them as piss targets, while over 2,000 enjoyed the view and took pictures.
