The Piss Pool at Folsom

Thanks to everyone who visited the Piss Pool at the 2024 Folsom Street Fair.

The Piss Pool at the Folsom Street Fair on Sunday, September 29, 2024 was a great success:

  • The pool was located at a perfect location:  in the sun, in the exact center of the Fair.
  • Although the day started overcast, once the sun came out it became quite warm enough for folks to enjoy being naked, and/or getting wet. And even after the sun went behind a building, it was still warm enough for several dedicated piss-lovers to remain “on duty” in the pool, until we had to reluctantly end their fun at 6 pm.
  • Please enjoy the video at the bottom of this page.  You might see yourself there somewhere!
  • At least a dozen different people, of all ages, genders, and body times, had fun being in the pool.
  • At least 200 people used the pool as intended.
  • At the high point in the mid-afternoon, we had six–no, seven!–pigs in the pool at the same time.
    • Check out the video, at about 4:03, for proof.
  • Thousands of people stopped to look and photograph the event.
  • Quite a few folks donated, to help defray the costs of continuing to offer the pool at these events.
  • A couple of wonderful individuals volunteered to help with setup and cleanup, for which I am enormously grateful.
  • At the end of the day, over 50 gallons of human piss were safely transferred to Folsom Street honeybuckets for sanitary disposal.
  • A friendly gentleman from the SF Standard, Max Harrison-Caldwell, stopped by and wrote a fun article about the fair, and the Pool.  You can read it here.
  • Several good people took time to thank me for making this unique experience possible.

If you took photos or video that you would like to see on this website, please upload them via DropBox here.  Or, if you have found pictures or descriptions of the pool at Folsom on the Internet, please send me a link to them.  (This would include both positive and negative remarks, and would especially include social media posts about this OR previous pools.)

If you would like to show your appreciation for the pool at Folsom, and help me do it again next year, you may donate to me (@David-Hyman-45) via Venmo.  If you prefer, or want your donation to be tax deductable, I would invite you to donate to the “Trench Bar” plaque campaign (details here) .

If you would like to learn more about the history of the pool, read the rules of the pool, discover some helpful tips for enjoying it, and view tons of pics and videos from past pools, please continue here.
